Dear friends,

Every ACIM Study Group we have clarifies the means of Awakening, together with the inevitability of Awakening.  And as each week goes by, I am promoting greater resolve on everyone's part to practice the holy instant . . . to actually engage in practicing the two-step.  It is time to shift from theory to practice!  It is time to shift from wanting to change, to actually changing.  It is time to shift from desiring one's good to embracing one's good . . . which means actually refusing to dilly-dally with whatever distracts one from his or her transformation!

Hey!  You want to have some home-made cake?  You think about what kind you want.  You find the recipe.  You gather together the ingredients.  And now it's time to make the cake!  You don't think about whether you want to change your mind and make another  kind of cake.  You don't check to see if you're going to miss some interesting TV show or find someone to call to talk about making cakes.  No!  You say, "To hell with everything irrelevant to making the cake," AND YOU MAKE THE CAKE!

My task, in the coming weeks and months, is to take everyone out of the classroom and into the lab, where the demonstration of what I've been teaching transforms the way you use your attention and the purpose to which you put it, through your use of "conscientious discipline."

Don't be afraid of those words.  They only seem to be negative and laborious when applied to something you don't want to do.  They are always positive and easy (or at least "well worth the effort" when applied to something you do want to do.

Everyone already knows how to use conscientious discipline.  You use it to accomplish every one of the goals you truly set out to accomplish.  The problem is that no one is pointing your nose in the direction of Awakening, regaining your Sanity, acknowledging your divinity . . . and persisting with you until you've done it!

This is what I'm all about.  And this is what the Northwest Foundation for "A Course in Miracles" anchors in the world.  This is what everyone's financial support actualizes . . . renders visible and tangible . . . in the world.  And it is what warrants ongoing invitations of financial support when contributions ebb.

As we near the 20th of the month when the bulk of the Foundation's bills must be met, there is less than $300 in the Foundation's bank account,  and patience becomes tedious when peace is not maintained through the practice of the holy instant (conscientious discipline).

Your help is, once again, invited.  And even if you do not get an immediate reply of gratitude, know that gratitude is felt and makes the way easier for everyone involved in making the gift, as well as those around the world who receive the gift and are filled with gratitude that there are those who are anchoring what I am teaching in the world.

I promise you that you do not fathom the unspeakable impact your support has when someone, somewhere in the world, happens upon this website in the middle of the night, in the middle of despair or illness or fear, and reads words that completely heal him or inspire him to renewed faith.  Or, maybe you do.  Maybe you have been one of them.

If the gift you give keeps the Gift alive, then no matter how small your gift seems to be, it is the whole Gift that is given.  And, you know what?  If you were one who reached out in the middle of the night and felt my love, or the Father's love, and were healed, you know that the Gift was justified, no matter how many or few it reached!
