| . Dear friends, I have said before that need is always where breakthrough occurs because need is, itself, the leading edge of emerging growth, emerging fulfillment. It is clarity beginning to register in awareness when one is preoccupied with something else. Discovery, introducing itself to one's inattention, niggles at him, creating an imbalance, a disturbance in his awareness, and is therefore not necessarily recognized for what it really is. But ultimately it forces one to be willing to embrace the disturbance rather than get rid of or "heal" it, thus making way for the shift of perception (the discovery) to occur. Now, the simple fact is that mankind stands at the threshold of Awakening . . . and always has! For ages the disturbing elements of what is called "the human condition" have niggled away at mankind's complacent acceptance of a misunderstanding of its holiness. And rather than looking at and embracing its holiness, which has been insinuating itself as the answer to "the human condition," mankind has attempted to rise above or overcome it. Mankind is still distracted from the Answer, still overcoming—or trying mightily to do so—the elements which simply illustrate its denial of its divinity and points it in the direction of its release: the abandonment of the denial! Never before has "the abandonment of the denial" been clearly identified as the one singular Answer to the human condition. And never before has the means of abandoning the denial been so clearly and bluntly stated as it is in A Course in Miracles. The age-old need to Awaken is, and always has been, the precursor to Awakening, but the attempt to overcome the need has thwarted Its imminence. That this is now made unequivocally clear means that finally, in the practice of the Answer, no more "ages" will be added to the need to Awaken and it will constitute the fulfillment of . . . - . . . undoing the Fall,
- . . . annulling the divorce from the Father,
- . . . embracing the Holy Spirit as one's right mind,
- . . . and coming Home.
The need today is for this Answer to reach all mankind. It is that significant. And the need today is for those who recognize the Answer to participate in its extension. Because they are the first ones to see what its extension means, they find themselves in the unexpected position of being able to be an agent for change by highlighting the Answer that no one else is yet seeing, and thereby become the pivot point upon which mankind can embrace its holiness and change the course of history by stepping off of the wheel of history, itself! Aside from each one's practice of the Answer—which is what the Answer is all about—support for making it globally available on the Internet, for everyone to freely access, learn about and put into practice, is one significant means which everyone has, to be the pivot point upon which mankind embraces its holiness and undoes time by stepping off of the wheel of history. I thank everyone whose support throughout the years has made this extension possible, and I especially thank everyone who has responded to the more frequent expressions of need which have occurred during the past several months. Paul has learned that it is not begging, but the opportunity to allow me to speak as the need for support arises. Rather than being a negative burden, he is discovering that it is simply another opportunity to join with me in the further extension of what I am teaching—the practice of the Answer, . . the two-step, . . the holy instant. Today there is $200 in the Foundation's bank account, with approximately $3500 worth of expenses remaining to be paid by the end of the month. And, of course, the cycle begins anew on the 1st of July. The Gift continues.
