Brief Update

.

Dear friends,

It has only been 12 days since we got the keys to the new house, and that brief number of days has been packed with an incredible amount of work preparing the house for our moving in. At the same time, the roadwork has continued at our current property, and we are now in a four-day period of paving in which entering and leaving is difficult. It has been exhausting, and it will still be another two weeks before we can even consider packing and beginning to move everything to the new place.

I ask for your patience if I do not get updates posted in a timely fashion, and I promise to do my best to make them more frequently in the coming weeks.

I cannot neglect to thank everyone whose contributions have made and are making all of this possible. Expenses around the preparation of the house have been substantial, and ongoing support is still needed to complete the work, including the purchase and installation of the elevator and generator, as well as covering the moving costs.

We look forward to the Study Group this evening, and hope you will join us online.

UPDATE LETTER

.

Dear friends,

Last week, I shared that, "it is my task to keep attention on completion of the movement so that the full meaning of fulfillment is not lost in premature abandonment of the miracle, and so that the joy of unity may continue."

In light of this, it is important for me to share that on this coming Monday, August 16th, we will have the keys to the new property and we can begin making it fully functional for our use.  This will involve building and installing shelving and cabinets for storage, purchasing and installing storm doors, purchasing window shades for the west-facing windows in the meeting area, installing an additional interior door to close off Paul's office area, and the installation of an elevator and backup generator.  In addition, it will involve moving expenses and hiring people to help with various stages of the construction as well as the move.

Once we have access to the house on Monday, we will be able to take measurements so that materials can be purchased on Tuesday, and the work can begin on Wednesday.

However, since it was announced that sufficient funds had been received to purchase the house, contributions have been few, but greatly appreciated.  At the present time, our working capital is twenty-one hundred dollars, of which eighteen hundred is needed to pay the attorney who handled the legal aspects of the purchase of the property.  And the balance, so far, is insufficient to cover this month's normal expenses, much less the expense of preparing the house for occupancy and moving in.

Let this be sufficient to say help is needed.

At this very moment, 4:52 a.m., notification of a contribution in the amount of $5,000 has just been received.  What a wonderful beginning!
